I don’t think the lady did that because I didn’t see any food whatsoever in their room. Like if I touch her wing, she can move it and pick it up it’s only when she starts to fall asleep that they really droop down. She isn’t like instantly falling down when she gets up, she can walk she just really is tired. By the way, I haven’t been able to find out what the little yellow corn like scab is in the top tip of her nose. It literally looks like a dried corn piece but has a sharp tip.Turkeys naturally peck at things on the ground. I use sand for bedding in the brooder and sprinkle turkey or game bird starter on the bedding. My poults usually start eating within minutes of being put in the brooder. It can take them several days to figure out that the stuff in the feeder is also food. Until they figure it out, I keep sprinkling the starter on the bedding.
