Turkey Question

My husband brought home a female turkey with 7 eggs. only 1 survived. how long do they go between laying eggs? is it only once a year? we have a male and he follows her around like a lost puppy.

As a rule, they lay between April and August.

thanks. glad i only have to do this once a year. her baby is driving me nuts. he likes to pop through the fence and cause her to have a fit. he juststands there and looks at her.
