Turkey questions

I've wanted turkeys ever since I started keeping chickens and every spring for some unexplained reason I get turkey ( and pig ) fever

Which turkey breed is better for free ranging? Does it help to get small turkeys that can fly into trees? Does having turkeys attract wild turkeys?

I see you are from Arab...I'm from Oneonta! Not sure that I can answer all your ?'s but as far as free ranging I don't think that it matters. Yes, the turkeys will attract wild ones at least here it did. Are there a specific breed that you are looking for?

I keep looking at palm royals but don't know if they would work for me. We have 22 ac. but on one side of our property we have a close neighbor with a goat fence separating us. Theres no guaranty we could keep them from crossing that little fence. Would want less aggressive since I have 5 grandkids running around a lot.

Not worried about to many predators except hawks my dogs let nothing on this property. But of course there's always a chance something will slip by them. It always amazes me how they know exactly where our property line is.

I would love to have royal palms there are a beautiful bird. I have Narragansetts and a Standard Bronze. I will have to say that the standard bronze is more friendly/curious. The Narragansetts are friendly but the Tom will puff up at my nieces and nephews. However, I don't free range due to the fact of predators. I do have some babies that will hatch at the end of this month if your interested. They are not full breed. They are mixed. However if you are interested in royal palms private message me and I know where you can get babies in just a few weeks.
