TURKEY RATIO

Hi! Appreciate knowing if one Tom and one turkey hen is okay or will that be too much for our female turkey. We originally were going to have them for the holidays but fell in love with them. We want to raise their offspring for food instead. Thanks!

1 to 1 could be rough on the hen. Depends how amorous the tom is.

A good ratio is 1 to 3.

You do have heritage turkeys as broadbreasted don't have the ability to breed sucussfully due to their size.
