Is your vet an avian vet? There is a website that helps you find those in your area. Avian vets know more about the biology of birds and treat more pets.

I don't keep turkeys myself, but I do have chickens. Sounds very serious. What breed is he?
I hope this link helps: http://albc-usa.etapwss.com/images/uploads/docs/ALBCturkey-5.pdf

I hope he gets better! Keep him warm and hydrated! Give him electrolytes.

I don't know her financial situation but you should really check for pet er in your area. Diagnosis for anyone in here is impossible. This could be a number of things from injury such as broken bone or fracture that could have brought on a fever. Anyhow if you want to bring down the fever assuming the bird is at least drinking? 1 baby aspirin to quart water to bring down the fever. That unfortunately is the best that you can do until the bird is seen by a professional. It is the liquids for this bird that is important. Check online if and how to administer feeding a bird water with a syringe, which I do know you need to use caution doing this and a drip at a time, very slowly. not for the impatient.
As for the temperature I do not know anything as to what the normal temperature of a turkey, would be. so before doing as above that would have to be known.
Broad breasted turkey?
