Our turkey, about 9 weeks old , developed sudden swelling under his eye...there is a tiny red dot in the middle of it...any ideas?

I don’t have turkeys, only chickens. In poultry, swelling around the face and eye can be a sign of a sinus infection usually from mycoplasma (MG.) But since there is a red mark, it could have been a peck, injury, or sting. MG would cause more serious symptoms, such as eye drainage, nasal drainage, coughing, rattly and labored breathing. So I would watch for those symptoms, and if some occur, you could purchase Tylan 200 and syringes with needles at your farm store. Dosage is 1/4 ml for every 5 pounds of weight 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days. Hopefully, though, the swelling will decrease and no other symptoms will be seen. Here are 2 articles to read about MG:

Yeah I hope so too! There are no other symptoms as of yet, no drainage, he was eating, drinking, and running around playing last night and this morning. It feels warm to the touch in the spot. I held him 15 minutes prior, let him go out free ranging, then noticed it was suddenly swollen, but the swelling is still present this morning :( I was hoping it had gone down, but it feels even warmer to the touch in the spot this morning :(

Peck wounds can become abscessed, so you might watch out for that. In my experience with dogs and cats, an abscess will fester for a couple of days, and become painful to touch. If that happens, it might need to be lanced and squeezed to get out any pus. You may also want to post on the turkey forum, or contact other turkey people.
