Turkey training

Quote:
hee hee. That sounds like a lot of work!

By the way, if they are chickens, they should be trained to walk themselves back to the coop. Just lock them up for 2-3 weeks inside and then when you let them out, they know where "home" is. Plus, you must make sure to feed and water them in their coop to "remind" them it's home. Wa lah...no more CARRYING!

Can you coop train turkeys like you can chickens??

Yeap, if they are raised by a hen, they will know how to get back in the coop. My BBB would go in and out of the coop by themselves after I taught them how to do it. Now I have some Heritage ones that I have to heard them into their pen or they would get in the chicken coop. When they were younger they would fly up on the trees or the roof of the coop so I had to pull them down and carry them to their pen. but yes they can be trained.
