turkey with butt problem?????

we got so white turkey's a day old. and first let me tell you I'm a sucker for the weak. i got this one home and that night i saw its butt was out I'm new to this. my hubby said some time chickens do this and to use a wet Qtip clean to push it back in. i did but every time it goes to the bathroom it comes back out what do i do. its still eating drinking and pooping. has any one had this happen and what did they do? thanks

Sounds like it could be a prolapsed vent.

just did its going on 38 hours being like this its still eating drinking and pooing. but not sure if it will ever be normal and i dont want it to get infection. tryed prep h and eggs.

yep its a little fighter . from the start the place i got them were not the best. this little one was wet from water being dumped in over the chicks in to the water bowl and and this one was weak from that and a bit little i couldnt just leave it there once i got it home with heat and clean feed and water. it started to come around then this... i feel bad... i know im doing better for it then they would have and it would have already been dead and prob walked over and stepped on bye the 50 others in the cage it was in.

beleave it or not its still holding on and it still runs around and looks ok other then the butt. im going to keep fighting if it keeps fighting.
