Recently my turkey has started laying down for some unknown reason. When cars come down the driveway, she will run out in front of the car and just lay down on the ground. When I try to move her, she pretends like her legs are limp and she won't stand up for anywhere from one minute to half an hour. Nothing appears to be wrong with her legs (no swelling, joints work properly, she doesn't seem to be in pain when they are stretched/bent), but she refuses to stand up. She is almost a year old. It is very confusing and I am worried that a delivery truck won't see her lay down and will hit her.

She is `presenting' to be bred. Cars, huh? Not raised with other turks and not imprinted on humans? Anyway, pen the girl up for the time being, with a safe area for her to build a nest (straw and wood chips under a tarp in the corner of a chicken run would do).
