I just picked up my 2 8 week old turkeys all was well i put them in my indoor pen by them selves for the night and the next evening was going to introduce them to the chickens but noticed that my bbb had a limp and uppon closer inspection found his middle toe swelled just out from where it starts now he dont wanna walk ive moved him into isolation and put feed and water within reach but dont know what else to do for him

Any suggestions,

Thanks.
Scott

From what ive been looking at i dont believe its bumblefoot more along the lines of a broken or sprained toe as the swelling is not on the pad but on the middle toe between the pad and first joint including that joint
He dont wanna do anything but if it hurts i understand so thats why i have him on straw amd food and water within reach hope its just a sprain

Thanks,
Scott

Well i believe i have a problem my poor turkey has not moved in 2 days laying on his side feet out but will still eat a little bit and drink a little i set and watched him for about an hour .
The other turkey is fine outside with the rest of the crew doing what ever it is turkeys do but im beginning to believe this one may be a lost cause im going to giive him a few more days to see if he picks up.
He wont even stand if i help him to his feet.
If not guess he will be a cull poor thing i even liked him gave h a name and everything

Leg problems in commercial turkeys is fairly common. Just make sure it isn't a virus causing it, as it may spread to the others if this is the case.

I hope that it gets better.
