Turkeys and chickens

Can I keep both in the same pen or should I seperate them? Any advice would be helpful

You can keep them together, as long as there is no problems with Blackhead in your area.

You can try ACV in the turkeys water as a preventative.

You can keep chickens and turkeys 95% most of the time with no problems. You will need to call your Ag extension office and see if blackhead is present in your area, if not then should be just fine.

I have two turkeys mixed in with 15 chickens and they get alog great.

I keep mine together. During the day the chickens tend to free range following the turkey around for protection. The turkeys seem to notice more, like when the hawks fly over head. The chickens keep close to the turkeys and use them to keep alert for dangers.

mine is young yet but i house him/her during the day with his guinea peeps in the same run. They are about the same size now and get along pretty well. Now on the other hand my 2 young chickens they go after him and peck him. Go figure.
