My turkey loves to lay in the sun, pant, and fluff her feathers up. Is this normal? There is plenty of shade where she can go.

And, when finished with their `hot baths' they like to cool down (we fill a couple of rubber `hog' bowls when the heat gets oppressive). Best advice I can think of is to never stand downwind of the `damsels'...

Try using a pan like the one above. Not only do they like to stand in it and scratch around while cooling their feet, the temp change? often results in pooping in the water. A pan is easier/cheaper to dump and refill.
 
Yuppers... I found a 3 gallon rubber bowl at Tractor Supply and it's perfect, I have two set up now but I'm prolly going to get a third one. But sometimes they relax too much and lay an egg in the water.
