turkeys and mites

can turkeys get the red mites that attack chickens at night? I just cleared up a problem with them in my chicken coop. My Turkeys don't roost in the coop, but they do roost in the barn where the coop is. I've checked the turkeys but haven't seen anything

I would think they could get them. Our turkeys are in the same area with chickens and dust bath in the same dirt so they could pass them I guess. We add wood ashes (from the charcoal grill) and add sevin dust to the dust bath holes from time to time.
