I have 9 BBW that seem to get chilled at around the 35f temp. It's like their feathers don't actually insulate them properly. When I walk out at night and check on them (they are so big they sleep on the ground) I see alot of what looks like shivering and realigning of feathers. They will be fine for several minutes and then do it again. Last year I had a BBB that was industrial. I could come out and she'd have frost and snow on her and not give a darn. Since this is my first go with BBW, is this normal? These guys seem to have a higher "weenie" factor to them. I am so close to the finish line with these guys! I don't need to lose them now for pity's sake!

It's been in the 30's here at night and last night instead of going in their shelter my BBW's stood out in the rain cold and wind. I don't know if BBW's can get cold - they seem to be hot to the touch even. I will say they do seem to be a little more "ruffled" these last few days when it's been colder.
