Turkeys and turkey eggs

New to this turkey egg thing . I have 3 Beltsville turkeys 1 tom and 2 hens. Ea hen is now laying an egg each day but it is well below zero ea night still so I have to collect them. I have 12 eggs over the last 10 days . I decided today to put them in the incubator to hatch . How long is the longest time an egg can be out prior to the incubator . The eggs were store in a carton in the basement on the concrete floor as its the coldest in the house. Next question Should I be leaving the eggs in the nest IF I continue to take their eggs will they lay all summer

You can wait up to 14 days and still get a decent hatch. Be aware though, the longer you wait the lower the rate............most likely. (Something like kids, as soon as you say one thing they do the otherr) Like the sound of the cool basement floor.....have you been tipping the eggs everyday? Be sure to let the eggs warm up before you place them in the incubator.
My turkeys layed all the way to September at which point I was not going to hatch another poult.........so I let them (hens) take care of their last clutch.

No I didn't move them after they were put in the carton. Next ones I will turn.

The turning helps............so don't get discourage if things aren't as well as you would hope.

My always have. This is their peek laying time, but I have had eggs all the way thru September.

Our Belts outlay all our other breeds put together. I have never seen turkeys lay like they do. Ours started laying about a week or two before Christmas and are still going strong. They did the same thing the year before but I just put it down as being first time layers, They are just shy of 2 years old now and started laying about the same time so it's the breed. They started slowing down in mid to late June but a few layed until August.

I have belts in the bator now . candled them last night but seem nothing Shells are darker with speckles so cant see inside . Was only 3 days check anyways Tomorrow I will have 12 more When they get up to 24 will have to get the second bator going.
