Turkeys are a month old now

So far so good my 5 turkeys are doing great. I have two Buff Orpingtons in the run with them. The Turkeys are much friendlier and love to be held. They fly a lot. They are definitely going to be a handful when I let them out of the run into the back yard. I have 8 hens, so I'm going to wait until the Turkeys are about 8 - 10 weeks before letting them out.

Turkey breeds are Black, Chocolate and Kentucky Bourbon.

Turkey breeds are Black, Chocolate and Kentucky Bourbon.

Kentucky Bourbon is not a recognized variety. The variety that is recognized is Bourbon Red. As far as turkey breeds, there is only one recognized breed for all domestic turkeys. That breed is Turkey.

The ones you mentioned are varieties of the breed Turkey.
