I have bronze turkeys 10 total. I had to put one down last week because she couldn't walk and wouldn't eat or drink. She has a pretty bum leg but I tired to nurse her back to health. Now I have 2 more turkeys that just lay there. They don't really eat that I see or drink. My other concern is all my turkeys are rough looking. Bald patches around the tails, there heads are very blotchy and last thing they don't weigh much at all. I feed them high protein food with a good helping of cackled corn. Help would be great. Thank you

Are they Broad Breasted or standard? If they are Broad Breasted they could be to large and their legs get weak and can give out. It could be that they have mites which would account for the bald patches at the tail area, it could be irritating them and they could be pulling out their own feathers. They could possibly have internal worms and that could be why they arent eating or gaining weight.

YOu would do better to post in the chicken section looking for help with turkeys--many chicken folks have turkeys to but live on the chicken side.

Do a rewite and rephrase info and include:

How old are the poults?
Are they with other types of birds?
where did you purchase them?
Have you tried treating them, and if so with what?
What feed brand name are you feeding?
Anything odd or unusual happen to them?
What do they have for housing and shelter?

Cracked corn will only dilute the pelleted feed; keep the amount down. My birds will gobble up grain very quickly and ignore the pellets.

Research turkey illnesses and see if any other symptoms are evident.

GOod luck -- hope you get them healthy!
