This is our first year raising turkeys. We have 4 BBW that have been attacking our ducks and chickens. Is this nornal?

Tonight I put the turkeys in a fenced pasture so that our mama hen could bring her ducking out to forage. A full grown chicken got into the yard with the turkeys and was immediately attacked. They had her penned in the corner and were pecking her for all they were worth. I had to run into the yard and push the turkeys away from her to rescue her. She had her comb torn up but luckily i got out there in time.

Normally they free range with my other flocks with no issues but in the past week they have turned on a baby roo, our duckling and now this chicken.

What can I do to calm this down? BTW, they are 12 weeks old and mostly toms.

We also have two BBB and they seem to stay out of the ruckus.

not much to do except keep them away and well fed. You could remove one or two of the toms to isolation for a while but they they will most likely pick on each other.
