They wander around the yard looking lost (and hot) so I'll take them over and they drink like they've never seen water. I can't help but laugh at them. I've never moved it since they were put out there. My white one this morning forgot how to walk out of her pen. Took her a good half hour to realize it was open and she could walk out freely. Love my babies but turkeys really do live up to the term "bird brained" :)

I know what you saying about the Turkeys also the Chics I have with them.
I have 17 Red Bourbon Poults that are now 6 weeks old same as the Chics.
Most of the water and food is in the brooder slash coop I also have some food and water outside but when the food outside is gone they don't go inside to eat.
every night when its time to be in the coop they will just huddle together on the ground when there is heat and food in the coop.
I and my Daughter will have to corner them and put them back in the coop and they eat like they haven't had food all day.
I only hope they learn to go to the coop at night as they get older.

LOL we have to heard our turkeys into the coop at night too. I know they hate it in there but we get coyotes here at night and I'd hate to see anything happen to them.

I know my Turkeys and Chics love to be out side were the sun shines threw the trees they will find a sunny spot and stand there for awhile then move around and its not because its cold out side.
