My geese are pastured. I have switched them over from a game starter to Purina Flock Raiser. The change in the appearance is very noticable. They have done better on Purina than any other feed.
The bag of feed I have from BlueSeal for chicks, guineas, turkeys, duck and geese says to switch their feed over at 3 weeks. My feed store doesn't carry the next step up. I plan to wait until 4 weeks and put the ducks on the Purina Flock Raiser as well.
I am feeding my extra cockerals we will use at meat birds from my hatches the flock raiser, too.
