Can anyone who lives in Western Washington tell me, do chickens in this area have Black Head Disease? I have been told this area is to wet and cold and that it is more in the dryer areas to the south. I have about 40 chickens at this time and would like to add a Turkey run and coop next to the chicken run, but seperated, seperate grounds. Is it a bad idea in this area?

We run turkeys and chickens together and have had no problems.

I say you really need to get some turkeys.........

Good luck

I'm in Mount Vernon, did my research at the WU Ag dept., no blackhead in Western WA reported. If you would be in need of some breeding hens, I have some gorgeous red bronze hens for sale as well as some golden narragansets.
