Turkeys living with chickens ?

Hi, is it considered unwise to allow two turkeys to share housing with chickens? I got two bourbon reds about 3 months ago and put them in with newer young chickens.

Not sure how other veiw the subject,but mine are all together and I don't have any problems, however,mine are also full free range and the young ones are as well once integrated into the flock.

I have had turkeys harass and even kill chickens. Some have no troubles, but I will never keep them together again.

I think you'll just need to watch them close and if you notice any issues have a backup plan for separating them.

We are raising our baby turkeys with chickens..actually a chicken hatched our turkey eggs because the females we have were not broody. They did however pick on a polish Bantam we have... That Bantam killed 2 of my baby chicks..shoulda let the baby turkeys peck it...I have separated the Bantam and keep it with other bantams
