Turkeys make excellent parents

I have a pair of midget whites who have hatched 3 babies. What's interesting is what a wonderful dad the tom is. He doesn't hang out with mom and kids but if there is a problem he is there in an instant. Like today when the puppy started to chase the chicks, I was screaming at the dog, mom was shouting and dad came racing up to take on the puppy. He sure can move when he wants to.
I am so impressed with these animals. They are sweet and intelligent creatures.
