I have a Narragansett turkey hen she is about a year to a year and a half old I live in nc and she has not darted laying yes I'm new to turkey's an I was wondering if outhers have starte laying ? And also do they sit on them well? I would like to get as much eggs as I can what is the best way to do that? I have them with chickens right now and also how many eggs do y'all get form a Narragansett turkey on avg thank u

I have hens of several varieties. I'm in Mo. Mine have not started laying yet. But hopefully in a couple weeks.

Turkeys are seasonal layers. As long as you t ake eggs from the hen she will continue to lay. Potentially from Mar-aug. And maybe in the fall. The narragansett hens I had last year were excellent broodys.
Size of the nest will vary by hen. A few will set on a couple eggs and others will set on 8 or more.

When they start setting on eggs they will quit laying.

Avg number of eggs about 80.
