I have 45 chickens and plan on getting some turkeys and pheasants in the spring. My question is can all the co-habitate together or is there any diseases that one could pass to the other. The pheasants and turkeys will only be around till they hit market weight and the chickens are layers so they will stay.

thanks for all advice

Chickens can carry "blackhead disease" and won't show symptoms at all but will transmit it to the turkeys. This would likely cause death to the turkeys... as far as pheasants I don't know the answer to that one sorry.

Peafowl are in the pheasant family and get many of the same diseases as turkeys. I am guessing that pheasants may be the same? If you have pheasants you'll need to make sure that they have plenty of room or you may run into problems with cannibalism. Blackhead isn't a problem everywhere, some areas have it, others don't. You can check with local ag folks and/or neighbors to find their expierences. And make sure that if you run them together, they have LOTS of room.
