Do turkeys pant?
YEsterday, i got home from work and it looked like one of my birds was panting a little bit...maybe i am crazy, it was a little warm here yesterday...they were in the sun.
What do turkeys do when they get hot?
Do they pant?
I have to post a picture or two of them soon, maybe you all can help me determine if they are male or female.

yep - probably hot. do they have shade? water? more water? water where they can find it???

yeah they pant, mine do all the time, just make sure they have water and shade

Mine were panting the last couple days too!! Water, shade, mister or fan is all you can do.

My poults want to sunbath all day. Have shade but don't use it except when they visit their food and water. May have to put a second water outside. Yes they do pant but for my birds I think it is early teenage love. 4 are boys and 4 girls. Just like teens they never wear suncreen either. Oh well.

ok, cool, i was scared. Yes, their needs are being met quite nicely...they have water in their pen, run. and when they graze they always find the dogs water. Shade they have too, but they prefer the sun it seems.
I thought i had some weird birds!
