Just remember that the drug used to treat histomoniasis (blackhead), metronidazole (fish-zole, Flagyl), is banned for use in food animals in the US.

You aren't supposed to eat their eggs either, but that hasn't stopped me. Just do the research and decide if it's something you're comfortable with.

My turkeys have been treated with it, but that won't stop me from eating their eggs or meat, but I would never sell any of my treated birds to someone that wanted to eat them. The poultry that you buy in stores has never been treated with any of the banned drugs.

Yep!

Coupe, it happened to one of my young peas last year that died. Sent it to the lab and the cause of death was an infected earthworm. Go figure. :/

After that incident, I make sure that I keep a certain drug on hand to use. I won't get caught without it ever again.
