ok so i picked up the four x 2week old turkeys on saterday. my they are big at two weeks (feathers already on the wings? is that normal with turkeys?)
anyhow i wasnt expecting them to be so big and only have a small brooder...;
they havent had a heat lamp since they came and havent seem to needed one..could they be older than the guy told me?

anyhow back to my dilemma.

i have a large indoor enclosure for my guineapigs, its roughly 2mx1,20m, with raised sides (so nothing can get in or out!) could the turkeys maybe go in with the guineapigs? it would give the turkeys oodles more room? or is there something they can catch from guineapigs?

I just stopped by the turkey forum to get some info on raising turkeys myself, but I saw your question and thought I would offer my two cents even though I am the farthest thing from an expert... I would worry about your poults picking up some kind of internal parasite from eating the guinea pig droppings. Not to mention I have two guinea pigs who I am pretty sure would die of heart attacks if they were pecked by baby turkeys! Maybe you could find away to section off your enclosure for them? Also a large appliance box would work good as a turkey poult brooder and you could probably get one free from an appliance store.
