Turkeys?!!!

Well.....this would make a lot of sense....

Just had a very nice man here working on our house and he said he raises chickens and ducks and turkeys....and he takes one look at these “chicks” and says “those are turkeys.....”

Help! Is he right?!?! There were def turkeys on the property when we got these guys! But they said they were chicks....

Nope, those are all chickens! They've got combs, a turkey poult would have a little bump of a snood instead.

Those all look like chicks. On the second one you can see the straight comb. The third one is a black pet quality Cochin. Turkey poults have a different shaped beak than chicks, it's straighter.

The person that told you those were turkeys was either pulling your leg or he is an idiot. You have chickens. There is not a poult in the bunch. A poult is a baby turkey.

Thank you!!! I am so relieved!! Nothing against turkeys but I was beginning to be a little worried how I would hide them from neighbors and find a place big enough for them!
