Turkeys?

1.Well grapes are my turkeys favorite treats, so I am not sure they are going to just weed for you.
2.Super friendly, they yak and yak at us and follow us everywhere.
3.Depends on the breed, we got a heritage breed and I thought they would eat more than they do. We have four and fill their dish twice a day if that and its a small feeder.
4.Best to coop them up at night or expect to lose some from predatory animals. They will roost high in the trees for their own protection also if trees are available for them.
There are many turkey experts on this site, do a search. I went with Midget Whites (smaller table bird with great flavor) after all the info that was put out by everyone on this site.
We really enjoy them, now let's see if I will be able to eat them, they are so friendly and curious.

It isn't often that we get wild turkeys hanging around my place, seems to be either/or between them and the pheasants. Usually, it's pheasants. One year when we had a wild turkey hen and her poults hanging around, we got very few grapes from the vines, and I was constantly having to chase the turkeys out of them. If you are looking for something to weed for you, I would suggest geese. Even then, you'll probably have to get them out before the berries ripen and watch to make sure they aren't eating your plants.
