I would like to ask about turkeys kind of like they give you a hug. I thought that the holding would stop after they matured like chickens. My turkeys still want to get in my la and go to sleep. They are my first one tom and two hens. Any info would helo.

Nope turkeys are they puppies of the poultry world. I still have one who's my little helper around the farm even though he's full grown.

A friend of mine raised bronze breasted turkeys---they were more like dogs than birds---loved to be petted even after they were years old. One hen would rub around your legs like a cat until she was picked up and snuggled! Of course, I have a flock of chickens that like to stay close to me when I am outside and even one that will hunker down on my blanket when I am in the yard reading. She will grunt (for lack of a better explanation) until her chest is scratched under her feathers. I think it's all in how you raise them! At any rate, this place is a valuable bank of information! Glad you found it and Welcome from Auburn, Alabama!

I always thought turkeys were terribly unfriendly. You learn something new every day!
