without feathers on the neck? We got an egg from someone labeled as naked neck and the chick hatched about an hour ago & it seems to have feathers all over the neck. TIA

Yes, they are born without the feathers on thier neck. This does not mean that the egg was mislabeled. The nn gene is dominant, but if both parents had both a nn and feathered gene, then there is a 25% chance of a chick having a feathered neck.
