I read that laying hens have naturally weak livers, so i was wondering if I could put some turmeric into their diet to strengthen their livers and help reduce body fat, since i give them so many treats
If yes, would I give it in their feed or water? And how much?

Laying hens need a balanced diet and free choice oyster shell, and limited treats. Tumeric won't fix an unbalanced diet! Where's your research on turmeric for chickens,? Mary

The only article actually based on research is from linkedin, and it's about giving 0.5gm to 2 gm. of turmeric per kg. of feed to broilers and it's effect on carcass weight. That's a lot of turmeric! And, nothing about long term health or anything else. Reports of health benefits to humans really don't translate into good data for laying hens. I do like to see actual scienc reported, although these were nicely written and illustrated articles. Mary

The National Institute of Health even suggests that adding turmeric as a dietary supplement can increase resistance to avian necrotic enteritis.
