Had a HUGE 80th b-day party for my Mom this past weekend. Even though it wasn't meant to be a surprise party and I told her every day for months that we were doing it, alas, it came as a surprise to her. lol. All of her kids and most of her grandchildren were here for it. It was awesome. I have the smallest place of any of my siblings, but since she lives with us and it's so hard on her to travel, we had it here. Lots of good food and cornhole tournaments. Got to see those people I sure wish were closer so we could see them more often.
But I have decided, no more big parties here on our little farm in the city. The chickens had to stay put up for two days. They did not like that and my rooster has been in a bad mood ever since. lol
I'm also a horrible party planner. I have enough food left over for another whole party. I guess at least I didn't underestimate it...that would have been bad. And here it is Wednesday, and I'm just getting over all of it. Whew. I LOVE my family but when we are all together, it is a madhouse. A fun madhouse, but a madhouse, just the same.
And the worst thing of all is....I have barely even had a chance to even get on BYC. The nieces and nephews talked me into getting facebook and I have been over there a lot. He set it to invite everyone I have ever had an email addy for. I could kill him. lol
And now, too, I have that bummed out, "hung-over" feeling you get when something like that is all over....
So, the decision has been made.....I am a party goer, not a party thrower.
