Turning and air ciculation

I am about to make my first incubator. I am going to use a disco ball turner for my automatic turner. If I hook it up to the thermostat so that it runs while the light is on, will it turn the eggs too much? If so what are affordable timers?
also if I put a fan in it, do I still need to create hole in the side of the cooler for the air?

Any advise is greatly appreciated...
