turning eggs

is there a particular/specific way to do it? or can you just roll them around in your hand and consioder that rolling em.. do you really have t od oit 3 times a day?

The more times you roll them each day, the better. Helps keep them developing 'evenly', and is supposed to help them access nutrients for growth too.

The person I know who has an excellent hatch rate turns the eggs 6 times a day! Just running your hand along the tops of them to roll them over is supposed to be OK.

I had the 'X' and 'O' marks on mine, and each evening set them all same way up, but I don't know if it matters: the hens don't write on their eggs!

i turn my eggs at least 5 times a day 180 each time

Hand roll them 3 times a day. Do it through the viewing window and wear clean cotton lab gloves when you do.

Instead of "X"ing and "O"ing, use your pencil for something else.
