Turning Eggs

What is the best way to turn eggs? End over end or side to side?

i have mine in a egg carton with the top cut off & turn them that way, you only have to make one move like that, just turn it from one side to the other, hope this helps.

Not sure why but end over end is thought of as bad. Rolling is the normal way. Back an forth, dont keep turning then around an around the same way. 3 time a day by the way, odd numbers.
