turning eggs

red is the heating element (doesn't blow like light bulbs) the water pan is in blue. the fan (an old computer fan) is in gray anything black is wood. i am showing it as a double lidded incubator. open the first lid to access water and the second for the eggs. the air would work in a circular pattern like you mentioned. possibly put an adjustable vent behind the fan in the lid. and of course side windows so you can see what's going on.

that is the same principal used in a lot of larger more efficient incubators made small. the turner could be a short stroke linear actuator running a rod back and forth to turn. and i do have an idea for a 2 hour timer.

Ok I see what your doing there. sorta like a shelf for the extra stuff on top of eggs. I like the idea of that. I was thinking a port to add water into pan but even with your set up could do a flex tube going down into the pan to add water. The only problem I could see with that is if fan aint strong enough to move air to bottom. But even then with a theromostat on bottom it wouldn't shut off till it got up to temp I guess.

i was figuring on putting the thermostat on the side on egg level, half way back. a wafer type thermostat was my plan, but that's what i have the best luck with. you can use whatever type you like.
