Hello,
I have heard that you shouldn't turn eggs on Day 1.Is this true?I am about to set six cage free eggs and don't want to harm them by turning on day 1.

When I purchased my eggs this week I was told to put them point down for at least 12-24 hours after I get them home and in the bator the next day. As to let them settle before starting them. I was told this by 3 different persons this last week. And to even do it with my own I collected from my hens.

Its my first hatch in over 30 years..so Im a newbie too.

Good luck with those store eggs. Cant wait to see if they hatch.

LMAO re-read it hahaha. I was told from 3 persons I got eggs from this week to let them set at least 12 hours up to 24 hours after I got them home and put into egg cartons point down to settle before I put them in the bator.

And yes 30 years ago. Might even be 35 yrs now LOL I was a kid last time we hatched any. In a 10 gallon fish tank with a small 75 watt bulb and a shot glass of water. 2 ducks and 2 chicks and they all hatched.
