what happens if you dont turn the eggs at all? is it possible they'll still hatch? (I have 15 in the 'bator, and I'm not sure...)

If you don't turn them, the embryo will

stick to the side of the eggshell, and will die.

You HAVE to turn them.

How often do they have to be turned? Can you get away with twice a day? I want to set some eggs next month (if the new girls give me eggs) but I start school on the 3rd.

twice a day is fine i had the same problem before i got an automatic turner i had 18 eggs and 15 hatched so it works pretty good but i would reccommend an automatic egg turner:)

Well I have chance to get a used Brinsea if the person is still willing to sell it later this week. Since I be a poor girl I am going to scrimp and save and get an automatic turner later. Lol

I am glad to hear I can get away with incubating while I go back to school.

You guys are such a bad bad influence. A whole website of enablers.

You have to turn them an odd number of times per day so its not on the same side every night. So 3 or 5 is good...an auto-turner turns them hourly and all through the night as well.
