I know what you mean. Its funny how people believe there bettering there feed by fermenting it.
I wonder how many people that force there birds to eat fermented feeds understand that some microbes feed on vitamin B and that vitamin B deficiency in poultry can cause a ton of problems like, results in reduced weight gain and feed intake (one of the very things they brag so much about is that there birds eat less. Hum, could it be a deficiency in B vitamins), along with poor feathering and nervous disorders, anemia, gizzard erosion, and fatty infiltration of the heart, liver, and kidneys.
Poultry on fermented feeds also have problems metabolizing nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates and fats.
