turning

okay so i dont have an automatic egg turner, i have to do it by hand, so what do i do during the final days lock down?? do i turn them ? for that id have to open it?! what about when one chick is hatched and i have to remove it from the incubator?! it would let old air in.

You don't want to turn them during lockdown. The chicks will start positioning themselves to hatch. It is a good idea to try and let all the chicks hatch before opening. The chicks can go 3 days without food or water due to the nourishment it gets from eating the yolk right before it hatches.
