Twice the yolk!

I had been saving this big egg for a few days to fry up for breakfast figuring it was a double yolk. Man was I surprised when only one yolk dropped out, but that is the BIGGEST yolk I've ever seen from our chickens

It is from our young BR flock, they've only been laying for about 8 to 10 weeks.

Wonder how big a chick that would have been? Would that size be a positive for hatching (assuming single yolk)?

Good question, maybe it would have hatched a chick-zilla! I was sure it was a double yolk though, the egg was a big one.
