Hi All,
I accidentally hatched a double yolker and got twins. One died and the other seems to have one leg struggling to unfold. He/she is not quite 24 hrs old. It’s very small, but is drinking water when I offer and eating a small amount of yolk I’ve given it. The leg is twisted and wants to go behind its butt. It was obviously squished in the egg unable to turn. I’ve tried hobbling it’s legs using vetrap but it’s legs are very tiny and I’m struggling to get it to stay on very long. I’ve seen someone on another thread suggest putting them in a shot glass?! Any advice appreciated. I’m feeling really guilty for hatching this egg not knowing it was a double. If I have to euthanise the little guy I will but he’s really trying and I feel like I should try for a little longer too.
