Twin duck eggs

I lost one that I cracked with a flashlight around day 10-12
I tried to fix it with candle wax and it made it another 8 days or so
I can’t remember exact days now
But it broke my heart when he died
I opened him up and his development looked so good but this baby was pure white feathers
I have no idea if they would change to yellow by hatch or if this was a very rare baby being white
I took pics of him as I know it would be hard for anyone to believe how white it was
But in that same hatch I had one that had a pin hole that I never saw until the air cell grew past it and it’s air cell grew much faster then the rest of them
I put a little wax on it and crossed my fingers
Baby did hatch but it went so fast after external pip
In 8 hours it was zipped and out
I think it had such a big air cell with plenty of air it didn’t need to external till much later then most
It sure sucks when that happens. I had a quail egg on about day 10, was doing great, baby was moving about, but it has been cracked and I hadnt noticed until that point. Tried to seal the crack, but it died 24 hours later. I was pretty heartbroken

Day 10!!!
We have 4 alive babies
I did video both sets but for some reason set one didn’t work
I can see in the egg really well the way I could with my light coloured babies
This tells me these ones will all be light when born
No dark brown or black babies
My reading for my humidity has never worked on my incubator
I have to use calibrated ones inside
I’m running 65-70

they're really starting to grow!!!

they're really starting to grow!!!
Yes they sure are
I love watching the growth daily even on regular eggs
It amazes me
These little ones don’t look like they are about to quit anytime soon
Everyday is them looking great
I think we can get to hatch no problem and I’m ready for the assistance they may need
I may not sleep for days but it will be well worth it ;)
I moved the incubator to my smaller bathroom so I can use the shower for heat and humidity if I do need to help

This is really awesome to see!! I sure hope things go continue to go fantastic!!

Good evening
Day 11 and we are bigger and stronger
But I have also realized these babies are further along then any single egg I have incubated
I then decided to watch videos of day 11 candling and it verified this
Day 11 I should see two round blobs connect to a thin string ( head , butt and neck )
But these babies I can see heads , beaks , feet and legs kicking
Could this mean twins actually should start lockdown sooner and hatch earlier and this is where many have lost them not knowing
I have added a video
Let me know what you guys think
Check out some other day 11 videos and compare

I think the eggs are doing great! I would closely examine the egg when it's going to be close to lockdown! As you said, if it's a little farther more developed, it MAY have a chance of hatching sooner. (Lockdown's pretty far away) If I were you, I would be concerned of how both embryo's would fit into the same space. Is this egg bigger or smaller than the rest of your single-yolk eggs? A normal sized duck egg is usually designed to fit 1 duckling. However, 2 may be a tight squeeze! Good luck and best wishes!

That's a very interesting theory. If the continue developing faster than normal I would lockdown earlier. What temperature are you running the incubator at?

I’m at 37.5 - 37.7 it fluctuates
Thermometers are calibrated
But I am running higher humidity to keep air cell on the smaller side giving them more room to grow and turn in time
