Twin duck eggs

Pics
Mine has been an exception to the rule
She is also 11.5 years old
She has always been a very gentle dog
That is awesome! Its always good to find such a good dog! Some times it’s how they are raised. My husky unfortunately started off without human interaction. The lady that’s dog ended up having them, was too old and had a hard time getting into the barn where they were. She was skittish and so it was hard to get her to be ok. I made progress but my husband had the hardest time.

I would have to say my Rottweiler is an exception to what people would say most are. She is a gentle thing too. She is only 2 but pregnant and due in a week so slowing WAY down lol. She has done REALLY good with newborn kittens (we rescued) and even though she is interested in the ducks and chickens, her behavior is more of a what are you or what are you doing. Unlike the husky who was wanting to get to them. She would charge at the fence and run around it on a mission. The Rottie just loves though to watch them.

Love that your eggs are doing so well! It would be awesome to see a positive outcome from this! Sending LOTS of positive vibes!

We got our girl at 4 months but she came from a sled dog place in Canmore Alberta
They spent a lot of time with the pups and good discipline
Although she did tell me they aren’t good with small dogs or cats and can never be off leash
Well she is amazing with our wiener dog
Even when we use to go away for sports and would have to kennel them. The owners would put her with the small dog lot as she was so good with them and loved to be with her house mate
she is terrified of my two cats even though one has never gone at her. The other cat is the boss of the house and tends to be a beep every now and then
I can walk her off leash at any off leash park and she never takes off but open our back gate and she is long gone and fast lol
Last year my young drake bite her in the butt twice she was terrified of them for months
She wouldn’t even come down to the lower yard if they were out
But all of a sudden a few months ago she decided she was their guard dog and loves to be by them watching over them
Even laid on an egg left in the outdoor area. She carefully set her butt on it and lifted her legs so carefully then lowered her upper body
Was the funniest thing I ever saw
That drake is good around her now and none of my other ducks have ever done that. I think he was hitting his hormones and didn’t know what to do with them 😂
I wouldn’t leave her in a small confined space with them in case one did try to bite and she wasn’t able to get away
The big yard she can run to the upper yard to get away if need be
But if I’m there I’m fine with it
I love your rotty. My husband has always wanted one

Day 16 update
Both sets of twins are still going strong
Lots of movement and growth
One egg weighs 100 grams
The other is 89 grams
One has lost only 4 grams while the other has lost 9
Yet both air cells are looking closer to the same
The larger of the two was a good week after being laid and already had air cell growth before incubating and has lost less weight. The smaller of the two was 24 hours after being laid and had a tiny air cell to start but both look about the same now

I’m glad your Husky has been really good! Always good to see these story’s. I had a Rottweiler when I was younger and she was like my best friend. So when we had the chance to buy my little girl we didn’t pass it up. And in about a week we will see how many babies she will have.

I hope things continue to go well! This is exciting to follow!!
