Twins in Lockdown 🤞🤞

I have a double yolker that's just made it to lockdown today. Too dark & full to see separate movement anymore, but good veins & activity. Put it in a separate incubator in anticipation of assistance being needed. Fingers crossed!!

With twins, they have a hard time hatching. They'll run out of oxygen twice as fast and there isn't as much room for them to turn. It's very rare for them to even make it to lockdown and even rarer for them to hatch. Wishing you and the babies luck!

Yes I know the odds aren't in their favor.
Expecting the worst, but hoping for the best.

Sadly, no. And it may have been my fault for moving to a different incubator. They were fully developed & partially absorbed yolk, but shrinkwrapped.

Oh, well. I wouldn't blame yourself. As said before, it is incredibly rare for twins to make it to lockdown and even rarer that they actually hatch. It's still sad they did not hatch though.

I also know they mostly make it to day 10. I did have a triple yolk one time, one of chicks made it to day 17.
