I was just candling eggs from under my broody hen and noticed one egg seems to have twins in it. Has anyone ever seen or dealt with this before? Definitely threw me off!

There are some threads on hatching twins. I hear they usually don't make it to hatch, but if they do, often need to be assisted because both chicks usually aren't able to pip into the air cell properly if I recall correctly. Would be really cool to get a successful hatch though!

Yes, I want to see that. Good luck on getting them to hatch, meaning I hope they develop enough together in that small space to be able to hatch! Premie chickens maybe? Please, when the time is right post photos!! We need to see!

I will definitely keep you updated, if they don’t make it I still plan on opening the egg and seeing what’s in there. As of tonight I definitely saw two sets of eyes, on opposite sides of the egg when I candled it. I really hope they make it, but two babies and only one yolk makes me think they won’t. Still interesting to see what will be inside!
