Day 20 1 pip then all of a sudden there were 2 pips!
The egg on the left
I’ve read fatalities are common with these so if it could potentially be twins - any advice?

If it is a twin it is a double yolker. Those are generally going to be huge compared to the other eggs so highly unlikely it is a twin.

If it is a twin you may need to assist with the hatch but I'd wait at least 36 hours after pip to even consider that. Maybe even longer. It is extremely rare for twins to hatch on their own but it can happen.

Please keep us advised. This could be interesting with that double pip. And good luck!

I don’t think there’s anything to worry over. It looks to be only one chick making those 2 pips. Likely, it had a few big bursts of energy before resting for the hatch. I’ve had a few do the same thing. Has it hatched yet?
