Twins?

I went out to tuck all my chickens in and realized we are nearing Day 14 with the broody hens and I haven't candled them since about Day 5?

Anyway...out of the 11 eggs I saw 9 fertile ones with lots of bouncing around movement (way more movement than I saw with with incubator eggs)

Anyway, one of the eggs had two black spots moving around in different directions...will this egg make it? I can't see there being enough room for development (silky eggs)

Are you thinking you are incubating a double yolker?

Has happened, but rare for it to be successful.

it's a normal size silky egg (small) there are the two black spots on the same side of the egg, but at different ends bouncing around, with lots of veining...I would take a picture, but it's late and I don't want to disturb the hens again looking for it...

I might try again tomorrow night to get a picture...
